It's fairly simple! Use the 3 R's approach to get going today!
STEP 1: Recognize
Slow down just a bit to think about what you're thinking about. Got any rogue, toxic thoughts hanging around taking up precious mental real estate? If so, proceed to Step 2.
STEP 2: Reject
Stop those toxic thoughts dead in their tracks. Reject the lies. Reject the self-doubt. Reject the self-limiting thoughts. Reject those notions contrary to what God says about Himself AND about what He says about you! Fight back against the enemy of your soul AND the trappings of your own flesh. Once you reject the thought, move on to Step 3.
STEP 3: Replace
It's not enough only to recognize and reject the toxic thought. You must find a healthy replacement thought to fill in the gap the toxic thought leaves in its wake. This might be Scripture or a simple statement of truth. Then, when you're tempted to engage with the toxic thought again, quickly remember your replacement thought instead. Focus on this healthy thought repeatedly and watch the change happen in your thought life!
